Brief description

A properly maintained vehicle is essential when towing ladened trailers: tyres, brakes, steering and lights must be in good working order. New entrants into the industry who would like to tow a trailer, are now required by law (after passing their driving test) to take a specialist test to prove their ability. Satisfactory completion of this module will enable students to carry out basic maintenance checks on the motor vehicle and trailer (a properly maintained vehicle is a safer vehicle), and be competent to Ministry of Transport standards in handling/reversing a trailer.
