Learning outcomes

During the course of this module students will:

learn to investigate the current economic environment of a firm and analyse and evaluate its economic strategy with respect to particular features of its external or internal environment. The group part of this project includes, as objectives, the development of team-working and presentational skills, and its methods of assessment are designed to encourage these.

develop, individually, business economic research skills, including those of networking with other people and investigating other firms in the same sector.

Aims

This module is the final year focal point of the L113 Business Economics degree. Its aims are for students to integrate learning from various parts of the scheme, develop practical skills in business economic reasearch methods, develop team work, time-management, initiative, report writing and presentational skills.

Brief description

This is a final year core module involving supervised preparation of group and individual reports on economic aspects of the operating environment of a business sector and a firm or organisation within that.
