Finding sources of technical information
Discussing technical subjects
Writing in good technical English
Keeping laboratory and field notebooks
Team skills
Introductory statistics and spreadsheets skills
Giving effective oral presentations
Mastering basic numerical, physical and chemical skills
Producing effective technical reports
The topics will be covered in a combination of staff presentations, videos, small-group discussions
(tutorials), and set exercises. An exact timetable will be made available at the beginning of the
module.
