Learning outcomes

Students who follow this module will be encouraged to develop their critical skills and engage in close scrutiny of texts and documents of the period. Surrealism and its legacy will then be considered in its historical context in a way that allows students to situate the movement against its period.

Brief description

The module will introduce students to the Surrealist movement and with readings of key texts by three major figures develop an awareness of Surrealism's political context.
