Brief description

The module aims to enable students to make the transition to learning at undergraduate lebel by introducing a range of generic study skills related specifically to information Studies. Although assessment will centre of the skills themselves, sessions will be based on examples from information studies. Some sessions may include 'micro sessions ' on relevant concepts and issues for students new to the field as a means of intergrating and 'grounding' the practical study skills.

Content

Workshops - 2 hours each with theoretical and practical elements in each. Some sessions will be two parts - one hour each. Use of Blackboard where appropriate.
