Brief description
All students taking the Records Management Master's course must undertake a period of supervised fieldwork with a records management service as an essential and integral part of their course. This fieldwork placement will last for two weeks in Semester Two (normally during the Easter vacation). It will enable you to gain valuable work experience, as well as giving you the opportunity to achieve some insight into important practical aspects of providing record services. The choice of placement is decided on an individual basis, in conjunction with the Course Director. Factors which are taken into consideration include previous experience, career aspirations, and specialist interests; assistance is provided in finding a suitable placement, but it is usually possible to allow you to undertake a placement at a place of your own choice.
