Brief description

This module addresses the conceptual and practical nature of tourism development. Using a variety of international case studies, students are encouraged to analyse the tourism development process in developed and developing nations.

Aims

The main aims of the module are to enable students to demonstrate their undestanding of the concept of development in tourism, to apply the concept of development of international tourism, and to evaluate tourism development strategies in a range of destination countries and regions.
