Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Construct and analyse a set of financial statements
Identify the requirements when budgeting for businesses
Identify the different techniques and resources available for budgeting
Identify information requirements of financial institutions in lending assessments
Aims
Business decision making, budgeting, appraisal and investment are all essential aspects of management and necessary for successful business control. This module provides a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and principles involved in managing a business and incorporates analysing and solving business problems. In addition this module provides students with appraisal techniques essential for managers in controlling the business.
This module is taught jointly with RS25820 Business Budgeting and Appraisal, but is a reduced version for D430 students only to accommodate their absence abroad in Semester 2 of Year 2.
