Learning outcomes

On completion of the module students:

1) should be able to communicate on a basic level in spoken and written German;
2) will have acquired a basic knowledge about language in general as well as a basic grasp of German linguistic structures;
3) will have been introduced to the cultural context in which those German structures are used.

Brief description

Students will cover chapers 1-5 of Themen neu in zwei Banden, Bd 1.

There will be four hourly classes per week in which oral, aural and written skills will be taught in an integrated fashion on the basis of the textbook.
