This is an introductory course to some of the basic skills of life painting and is designed as a follow on course from 'Approaches to Life Drawing'. Through a series of practical classes you will build a portfolio of paintings of the nude. You are also required to investigage the historical and contemporary context of life painting. Sessions will include tonal painting, flesh, colour studies, composition, proportion, planes and structures of the body, speed studies and some colour theory. Students will be required to supply their own materials.
