Brochure Text

This is very much a hands-on course investigating the basics of designing web pages and web sites. You will start by learning the essentials of HTML and will then move on to Microsoft FrontPage for the majority of the course. All that is needed is a basic knowledge of computers, particularly web-browsing and word processing or desktop publishing. On completion, you will have the confidence to design and produce effective web sites and will be given the opportunity to develop your own web site as a project during the course.

To ensure that the first session of this course runs smoothly, you will need to pre-enrol at least 2 weeks in advance and activate your login ID which you can do by completing an online form at www.aber.ac.uk/systems/activate   To complete this process you will be required to enter your student number; which can be obtained from the Lifelong Learning General Office. Please note, student registration numbers can only be issued once your fee is paid, your enrolment form is received and entered onto the University's students database. More information about activation can be found at www.inf.aber.ac.uk/advisory/faq/14/   Please ensure you have kept your password, log in ID and student number.
