The Postgraduate Admissions Office is there to help you with your application for postgraduate or distance learning study at Aberystwyth. We can provide you with applications forms to apply, a copy of our prospectus and the departmental brochures we have available and we will also handle your application once you have submitted it to us. We are available for advice at any stage of the application process and are happy to discuss any queries you might have.

Rachel Tod Recruitment Officer.
Responsible for recruiting UK/EU postgraduates and also undergraduates students from other EU countries (excluding Eire).

Deals with applications for the Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) (i.e. our teacher training courses) that are submitted via the GTTR.

  • applications from UK and other EU applicants for our full-time and part-time courses.
  • submission of applications by students for funding from UK Research Councils and the University's APRS competition
  • manages the physical resources of the office.

Carol Stevens-Land Secretary. Deals with the following:
  • applicants for our distance-learning courses
  • enquiries that are sent to our Office's general e-mail account
  • provides support for our recruitment activities.
  • travel claims for Postgraduate Interviews and those associated with the University's APRS Studentships.
  • applications from members of the University's staff who wish to study for postgraduate qualifications

Katerina Stivasari-Jones Administrator. Responsibility for the following:
  • admission of UK and other EU students to our full-time and part-time courses
  • applications for UK sources of funding (e.g. Research Councils, Aberystwyth Postgraduate Research Studentship Competition)
  • administering APRS Travel Claims
  • designated Doctoral Training Account (DTA) Co-ordinator for EPSRC funding for research students.
  • also involved with the recruitment of postgraduate students

Rhys Williams Administrator. Responsibility for the following:
  • admissions of overseas (non-EU) students
  • applications through the medium of Welsh
  • applications for distance-learning courses
  • admission of PGDE (Teacher Training) applicants
  • applications from members of staff from the University
  • involved in recruitment activities including secretary of the Postgraduate Marketing Group
  • overall running of the office
  • administers loans (Federal & private) for both US and Canadian students

Dr. Hywel Davies is the Head of Admissions & Recruitment. He is ultimately responsible for the Postgraduate Admissions Office as it is part of the Admissions & Recruitment section of the University.
