Hot on the heels of the amazing success of Colin (picked up from it's screening here), we are proud to

report that Umbrage has also been acquired by Left Films. Abertoir would like to congratulate first-time director Drew Cullingham, and wishes him a successful career:

'Screening Umbrage at Abertoir was a pure pleasure. The festival is clearly going from strength to

strength and is one of the warmest and most sincere festivals I've seen. Subsequently signing a sales deal for Umbrage with Left Films was a terrific bonus, and I can only say a huge thank you to Gaz Bailey and the other staff there for all their enthusiasm and good work.'  - Drew Cullingham

In addition to that, another of Abertoir's lineup "Resurrecting the Street Walker" has also been taken on by our friend Helen Grace at Left Films, so our congratulations go out to the team, and we wish them every success.

The winner of the £1000 prize for best short film went to Joe Avella for "Wheelchair Werewolf".

Look out for a brilliant new-look website here soon for Abertoir's 5th festival!
