The module will deal, in a series of classes, with basic plant and animal physiology and relate structure to function. It will also deal at a basic level with homeostasis and the various controls mechanisms in living organisms.
The curriculum will include the following.
The physiology of photosynthesis in terrestrial plants and some aspects of its control.
Transport of materials in plants.
Basic aspects of animal physiology including
Homeostasis and feedback control.
Nervous system.
Sensory, integrative and effector systems.
Endocrine systems.
Circulatory systems
Ventilation and gas exchange
Digestive systems.
Osmoregulation and excretion.
Reproduction.
