On completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Generate a computational mesh for a given flow problem.
2. Use numerical software for solving complex viscoelastic flow problems.
3. Display numerical results using graphics libraries.
4. Make comparisons with experimental observations.
This module introduces numerical software for solving problems in computational rheology. Students will gain experience in using commercially developed software for simulating flows of real fluids through complex geometries. Mesh generation, choice of material parameters, boundary condition specification and analysis and interpretation of the numerical results will be explored.
This module will provide students with experience of using commercially developed numerical software for solving complex viscoelastic flow problems. Comparisons with experimental observations will be performed where relevant.
This module is at CQFW Level 7
