On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
present and defend the results of a substantial piece of work, carried out under the direction of a supervisor but demonstrating self discipline, organisation and initiative.
The projects typically involve developing a piece of software from an initial statement of requirements through market analysis, costing, specification and design stages, to successful implementation, testing, and product evaluation. Some projects may include a hardware element.
Projects are normally chosen in consultation with the MEng coordinator and/or the potential supervisor.
This module consists of a major piece of development work carried out by the student. It will include identification of requirements, analysis of the market, cost analysis, design, implementation and evaluation.
This module is at CQFW Level 7
