Learning Outcomes

- assess a range of different theoretical approaches used in the study of politics and International Relations;
- reflect critically upon the role of theory in the study and practice of politics and International Relations;
- evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of different types of sources used in the study of politics and International Relations;
- historically assess the significance of a seminal event in International Relations;
- discuss the assumptions that underpin the theoretical approaches presented in the module; and
- apply one or more of the theoretical approaches presented in the module to a specific case study.
