Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
* Perform a focused literature search into specific areas of management theory;
* Identify several key developments at the frontiers of management theory;
* Critically evaluate these developments in management theory;
* Communicate an understanding of these developments in written form;
* Demonstrate critical self-reflexive learning;
* Discuss and defend their own perspective on contemporary and pervasive management issues.
Aims
By examining contemporary management issues in depth, students will gain an understanding of current management thinking from both practical and theoretical perspectives.

Brief description
This module is designed to develop and augment the knowledge and understanding of management research addressed in the core management modules. It will consist of a series of self-contained lectures given by a range of staff from across the school, each highlighting a topical or emergent issue in management research.
Content
The content for this module will reflect current and emerging issues in management research and as such content will remain flexible and ongoing in order to enhance the student learning experience.
