Wedi cwblhau'r modiwl dylai'r myfyrwyr fedru:
- To produce a visual portfolio which provides a foundation of interest for further study in the undergraduate degree program.
- Students will develop further understanding of contemporary painting within contemporary art and culture.
- Students will learn how to visualise ideas and understanding within the discipline of painting
- To interpret contemporary theory through academic research and practice
- To build and develop skills in the discipline of painting
Disgrifiad cryno
This module is designed to introduce students to contemporary painting theory and practice. Working in the studio, students develop a clearer understanding of painting as it exists within contemporary culture and how it connects to historical painting. Painting as a relevant and thriving medium within contemporary art is explored in this module within the students' own interests and aspirations. Students are encouraged to explore ideas through the discipline of painting in its broadest sense and begin to lay down the foundations of a portfolio for further study.

Cynnwys
This module is designed to introduce students to contemporary painting theory and practice. Students glean a deeper understanding of contemporary painting through lectures and workshops within the studio environment and will use these to support the development of their own portfolio. Students are encouraged to pursue their own interests in the discipline of painting with peer support, group and individual tutorials.
