Emerging Security Issues

Wedi cwblhau'r modiwl dylai'r myfyrwyr fedru:

1. Describe, analyse and assess security relations at a state-societal level in both the developing and developed world
2. Analyse, evaluate and critically discuss the policy responses to the new security agenda, and the alternatives to them
3. Apply research design skills to the specific field of security studies

This module provides subject-specific training for students through an exploration of emerging security issues in international relations.

This module aims to allow students to develop the ability to analyse, evaluate and discuss:

- security relations at a state-societal level in both the developing and developed world;

- the inter-relationship between global processes and specific security dynamics; and,

- the policy responses to the new security agenda, and the alternatives to them.

The module considers a variety of emerging security issues in the developing and developed worlds all in the context of globalising political-economic structures.
