‘Best of Wales’ Award for Megi
27 July 2015
SMB Business and Management graduate Megi Williams was awarded the ‘Best of Wales’ prize at the recent graduation ceremony, awarded to the student who displays excellence through business study in the Welsh language.
Megi, who will shortly start her career as a marketing executive at South Caernarfon Creameries, said,
“The award was a real shock. I didn’t expect it at all, but I’m extremely grateful. It really gave me an extra boost on what was a fantastic graduation day. Graduating was a great feeling, but tinged with sadness as it was my last day as a student at Aberystwyth – the best three years of my life so far.”
The award is sponsored by ‘Best of Wales’ a provider of 4 and 5 star holiday cottages in Wales. Co-founder and Aberystwyth alumni Llion Pughe, said,
“ We strongly believe that the prosperity of the Welsh economy is dependent on producing wave after wave of new business people. More importantly, people who will return to their communities to create jobs. Aberystwyth University is perfectly positioned to produce these all important business people and as a passionate Welsh company, we will do everything we can to support that.
We are delighted to be in a position where we can encourage Welsh business graduates to venture into business in Wales. I would like to offer my congratulations to Megi on her achievement. I know she has already secured employment with a company in North Wales, which is great news, I wish her the very best in her future career.
