New Students - What happens next?

When will I know which type of accommodation I have been offered?
Please see below for information on what happens next after applying for accommodation and the steps you need to take once you've been sent an accommodation offer.
Accommodation Offers
Accommodation offers will be sent on a daily basis (Monday - Friday) provided you have:
- selected Aberystwyth as your Firm choice University.
- applied for University Accommodation.
- an Unconditional Offer and have accepted your place to study at Aberystwyth University.
If you have a Conditional Offer this will become Unconditional once you receive your exam results, provided that these results meet the requirements of your academic offer.

Definitions
Accommodation Portal -
The Accommodation Portal is an online service to apply for and secure accommodation at Aberystwyth University.
Accommodation Offer -
When your accommodation application is processed and, if successful, you will be sent an accommodation offer. This will be sent to you by e-mail and will include the name of the residence and the type of room (e.g. single, en-suite) you have been allocated to, as well as information on when and how to accept the offer.
Accommodation Licence Pack -
Once you accept your accommodation offer you will be required to complete the Accommodation Licence Pack by a given deadline date. This includes; agreeing to the terms and conditions of your Accommodation Licence Agreement, payment of the required £100 acceptance fee*, setting up a payment plan for accommodation fees, requesting to live with friends and completion of our pre-arrival induction programme.
*If you already live in University Accommodation and have also been offered a place for the following academic year in University Accommodation then there is no requirement to pay another £100 acceptance fee as your current deposit can be transferred over. You may be required to pay any shortfall if deductions from your deposit have been made.
