Inclusive Accommodation Offer for PGCE Students beginning their course in the 2022/23 academic year!

We are delighted to be able to guarantee all Initial Teacher Training (Primary and Secondary Education) students, who have met their entry requirements and have enrolled onto the course starting September 2022, with inclusive University accommodation for the 8 weeks required on campus.

How to apply

PGCE Inclusive Accommodation Offer

The PGCE Inclusive Accommodation Offer is for a place in Penbryn self-catered accommodation.

If you accept the accommodation allocated to you, it will be at no extra cost to your tuition fees for the duration of the university contact time (8 weeks).

To be guaranteed a place in University accommodation you are required to apply by 1st September, in the year of entry, and respond to your offer of accommodation by the deadline date detailed in the Accommodation Offer, as detailed in our Priorities Policy.

Accommodation Availability Dates

We are able to provide inclusive University accommodation for the following dates during academic year 2022/23:

  1. Contract Period 1: From 10:00am on Saturday 03 September 2022 – 10:00am on Saturday 01 October 2022
  2. Contract Period 2: From 10:00am on Saturday 07 January 2023 – 10:00am on Saturday 28 January 2023
  3. Contract Period 3: From 10:00am on Saturday 10 June 2023 – 10:00am on Saturday 17 June 2023

If you are placed in a local school placement and require accommodation, then please contact the Accommodation Office to check availability. Subject to availability, Accommodation Fees will apply during these periods and you may be required to move residences.

How to apply for accommodation

The School of Education at Aberystwyth University will contact you with information on how you can apply for University accommodation. You will only be eligible to apply:

  1. When you have met your entry requirements and have enrolled onto the course.
  2. When you have activated your Aberystwyth University IT account – this will be from July onwards when Information Services start sending e-mails inviting students to activate their IT account.

Alternative Accommodation

If living in University accommodation is not for you, then alternatively you may prefer to live in Private Sector Accommodation.
