Gini Wade at the Hong Kong Graphics Fiesta 2011

Taurobolium, lithograph by Gini Wade. School of Art postgraduate Gini Wade has been invited to represent the School as a guest of the Hong Kong Graphics Fiesta 2011. A guest speaker, Gini will also be exhibiting her masters-course prints at Xin Yi Dai! - an international university exchange exhibition. The Fiesta is a collaboration presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Cultural Sport and Tourism, organised by the Art Promotion Office, Guan Shanyue Art Museum and the Hong Kong Open Printshop, supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. The Fiesta runs 29 September to 16 October 2011 at the Exhibition Gallery, Shatin Town Hall before it tours to the SD Gallery, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University. The Fiesta brings together the best printmaking students from universities around the world. Gini has been invited to attend the exhibition's opening ceremony and in the days that follow share her experience as a printmaker – through demonstrations and by introducing current developments in the School of Art. She receives accommodation courtesy of the Hong Kong Open Printshop as well as an Honorarium as a token of thanks. Nine other students from the School of Art have their work exhibited in the exhibition: Tom Voyce, Ousama Lazkani, Maxine Prescott, Emily Hopkins, Robert McMorrine, Cara Duncan, Julie Williams, Ben Partridge, and Elizabeth Nash.

Included in the exhibition is Gini's animation 'Stone Bone Boogie' created from a large lithographed produced for her MA exhibition.
