The BCSWomen Lovelace Colloquium 2017
The BCSWomen Lovelace Colloquium 2017 is a free, one day conference for women undergraduates and taught masters students. 2017 will be our 10th event and it will be held in Aberystwyth University.
Abstract submission is now closed: if you want to come along you're welcome to join us, but we're not accepting any more student contest entrants. We had 116 submissions this year which was record breaking.
All successful poster contest entrants will get to the finals in Aberystwyth, we will pay for your transport, and put you up on the 11th and 12th of April*. On the evening of the 11th, there will be activities including a hackathon, creative coding sessions, and later on a social. On the 12th we will have the main event: talks, student poster contests, careers fair, panel session, free lunch, and far too much cake.
- The date: Wednesday 12 April
- The venue: Aberystwyth
- The abstract deadline: Friday February 17th
If you would like to book a place at the colloquium, you can sign up online with the BCS here: https://events.bcs.org/book/2458/. Note: this is for the general public - students in the poster contest have already been booked in. The colloquium is open to all, and free - you have to sign up online first though.
