What do you remember most about your time at Aber?
I remember a lot of things about Aber; beautiful sunshine, homesick rainy days, revision periods before exams, and definitely the wonderful time with my new close friends at Aber.
What are you doing now career-wise and how has your Aberystwyth Degree helped?
An Aberystwyth Master's degree raised my confidence in business management expertise. The methods and skills acquired from the course are so useful in researching and learning in the work environment. The time in the UK indeed gave me another life experience. It is also helpful to connect with a wide community of professionals, colleagues, classmates & friends all over the world. Currently I am Assistant Revenue Manager at Melia Danang, a 4-star international resort in my home city and on track for a career in Sales and Marketing in the hospitality industry.
What advice would you have for a student doing your course now?
A one-year masters course in Aber is so short that you might feel unfulfilled in your initial intentions. So, I would just advise prospective students to be well-prepared before coming, to get involved in the course and uni activities as much as possible, to be active and responsible for group assignments, to keep thinking about what you learn and its application in real life, and be sure to revise seriously before exams. Enjoy the course and Aberystwyth!
