Lecture: Peter the Great: his reforms and their effect on iconography

Father Vladimir Lysak Father Vladimir Lysak, a graduate from the University of Alberta and St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, is a priestmonk of the Orthodox Church and and a well-known iconologist and iconographer. Apart from pastoral duties and painting icons, he teaches in both capacities. Among his appointments  we note courses to the Valamo Lay Academy in Finland; Campion College at the University of Regina, and the St Arseny Institute in Winnipeg –both in Canada; and our School of Education, Aberystwyth University, which has benefited from a lecture and  3 lectures-demonstrations  since 2003. These are given in conjunction with the courses on Russian History given in the School.
