Estates, Facilities & Residences Helpdesk

We support the University’s goal to provide an attractive, welcoming and exceptional place to work, study, visit and stay by providing excellent facilities management services for the University’s members of staff, students and visitors. The Estates, Facilities & Residences helpdesk is there for you to report any maintenance/repairs, damages, hazards and pest control issues.

There are different methods of reporting faults depending on who you are. Please see below for information that is relevant to you:

EFR Helpdesk

At your service...

The EFR Helpdesk is your one stop shop for requesting maintenance.

We support the University’s goal to provide an attractive, welcoming and exceptional place to work, study, visit and stay by providing excellent facilities management services for the University’s members, guests and visitors.

If you need assistance, you can contact us:

  • by telephone on 01970 62 2999 (24 hours)
  • by email to campushelp@aber.ac.uk (please note emails are only responded to between the hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00am - 3:30pm Friday)

If you are a registered user of our call management system, you can also log a support call yourself by visiting our Planet FM Enterprise intranet site. Although you can log a call at any time, out-of-hours support requests will be actioned as soon as possible the next working day. If you are not registered, please contact your departmental administrator or building's porter to log or to chase the call on your behalf.

Students

Students can report any maintenance/repairs, damages, hazards and pest control issues via our online fault report form. Online fault reports will only be received and processed between Monday – Thursday (8:00am – 4:30pm) and Friday (8:00am - 3:30pm) excluding Bank Holidays and University Closed Days. If you have an emergency repair outside of these hours, you can ring 01970 62 2999 24/7. 

When reporting a fault, please ensure you include your name and room details as well as full details of the fault. Say exactly what the problem is and exactly where it is. Failure to do this may result in your fault being wrongly understood.

Members of staff

Members of staff can report any maintenance/repairs, damages, hazards and pest control issues by calling or emailing helpdesk:

Phone – 01970 622999. Please be aware that you will be asked for a full description of the issue and where it is along with you name, phone number and Aberystwyth email address. 

Emailcampushelp@aber.ac.uk. If emailing the issue please give as much detail as possible, including the specific location of the issue and your full contact details.

Visitors

If you are visiting Aberystwyth University you can report any maintenance/repairs, damages, hazards and pest control issues by calling 01970 62 2999. Alternatively, you can call the 24/7 Campus Life Helpline – 01970 622900.

You will be asked to give you full contact details along with the location of the issue and the issue itself in as much detail as possible.

Members of the public

If you are a member of the public and find any maintenance/repairs, damages, hazards and pest control issues please report them by calling the main University number 01970 623111 or the helpdesk phone 01970 622999.
