Details of Works and Notes

As part of our ongoing programme of improvements on campus, there are three large schemes planned in and around the Hugh Owen Building over the coming months.

The works to be carried out are as follows:

 

The full refurbishment of Iris De Freitas Room on level E, Hugh Owen library.

Works are due to commence on the 3rd June 2019 with some enabling/site set up works to be undertaken in week commencing 27th May 19.

These works will continue on to mid October.

Scaffolding will be erected above the walkway on the rear elevation of Hugh Owen. This section of walkway will be closed to pedestrians. Please use alternative routes through the building on Level D or alternatively via the Piazza.

The entrance to C22 Lobby will continue to be available via the new level access pathway.

Iris De Freitas Compound

 

The full refurbishment of C22 lecture Theatre on Level C, Hugh Owen

Works are due to commence on the 3rd June 2019 with some enabling/site set up works to be undertaken in week commencing 27th May 19.

These works are due to complete by the end of September.

C22 Compound

 

The construction of an external evacuation Lift to serve levels B, C, D & E of Hugh Owen.

Works are due to start at the beginning of July and will be completed by Mid September.
