Digital and Print Publications
The Digital and Print Publications team is responsible for overseeing the University’s corporate and brand identity and managing its digital and print assets in support of student recruitment activities and the promotion of university research. The team consists of copywriters, graphic and web designers and a printing team, who create and develop a variety of traditional publications, marketing materials and digital media for events, marketing campaigns, social media and other online platforms.

The Events Team is responsible for the organisation and development of a programme of University-hosted events that support our broad corporate mission and enhance our profile. These include University Open Days, Applicant Visiting Days, Graduation Week and Big Welcome Weekend and Orientation Week. In addition to on-campus events, the team also oversees the organisation and development of externally hosted events including the National and Urdd Eisteddfod and the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show.

The Global Opportunities team offers Aberystwyth students an exciting range of options to go overseas as part of their degree. From short courses, volunteering, work or internship opportunities for one semester or a whole year abroad studying at one of our partner universities. The team manages the partnership relationships and the funding streams that help make overseas experiences possible.
Global Opportunities also work to facilitate a short-term Aberystwyth experience for hundreds of students from around the world. These students can be self-funded, funded by their institution, or fee-free as part of an agreement that facilitates student exchanges between universities. They may come to Aberystwyth for a short course, a summer school, a semester or a whole year.

International Recruitment and Development
The International Recruitment and Development (IRD) team is responsible for meeting the University’s strategic goals of increasing student recruitment from outside the UK and engaging in development opportunities that enhance the University’s reputation overseas. The IRD team works in the following ways:
- liaising with academic departments to understand their recruitment priorities and work collaboratively in international campaigns/activities
- attending recruitment fairs overseas to meet prospective students
- managing our relationships with education advisers by providing training, marketing materials and appropriate incentives
- working in partnership with other organisations to help achieve our goals for recruitment and/or profile building
- responding to international student enquiries and assisting them with the application process
- nurturing our relationships with specific international alumni networks in collaboration with the Development and Alumni Relations Office.

The Marketing Campaigns Team oversees the development and delivery of the campaigns which run throughout the annual student recruitment cycle in the context of the University’s marketing and student recruitment strategy. These include:
- advertising – lead generation: initiating interest in UG and PG study (includes Clearing campaign), social media paid-for advertising, and managing 3rd party advertising relationships, e.g. UCAS, The Student Room, Whatuni
- direct marketing - targeting prospective students (UG and PG) through a range of different media formats (email, postal, digital)
- UG and PG conversion campaigns - through a range of media (email, postal, digital)
- interactive marketing – providing prospective students and applicants with opportunities to engage with current students and staff through events such as online open days, telethons, live chat.

Our Student Recruitment and Widening Participation Team provides higher education advice and guidance.
Members of our team can visit your school or college free of charge to talk about all aspects of applying to higher education. The team travels extensively throughout the UK and are available throughout the year to support students, advisers and parents.
