Good Supervisory Practice Framework

The UK Council for Graduate Education is responsible for this Framework and Aberystwyth University has decided to implement this Framework into the University. The Graduate School and the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit is working collaboratively on this project.

“The Good Supervisory Practice Framework acknowledges, at a national level, the wide-ranging, highly complex and demanding set of roles involved in modern research supervision” UK Council for Graduate Education web page https://supervision.ukcge.ac.uk/good-supervisory-practice-framework/

Applications need to show that they are able to reflect upon 10 different areas on their Supervisory role. Further information on these areas can be found via the UK Council for Graduate Education web page https://supervision.ukcge.ac.uk/good-supervisory-practice-framework/ .

The institution can only financially support a minimal number of applications, each year, so there will be an expression of interest internal process put in place together with a panel to review each application before submitting to the UK Council for Graduate Education.

If you are interested in applying, please complete the below form and we will add you to the internal Blackboard site. This site will give you more information about the award together with guidelines and forms.
