Sustainable Procurement
The procurement of goods and services is one of the significant direct and indirect environmental impacts of the university.
A Sustainable Procurement Working Group has been established, reporting to the Environmental Strategy Working Group.
- The WG is chaired by the Procurement Manager (Finance Office).
- The WG is currently undertaking an assessment using the 'Public Sector Sustainable Procurement Assessment Framework' (SPAF). This protocol was developed by Forum for the Future on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government.

Fairtrade status
The University has Fairtrade Status. Fairtrade Policy
Hospitality Services
The University Hospitality Services in collaboration with the University Farms has made many innovative developments in the sourcing and production of food for the University catering outlets.
