What is still open on Campus?
While limited catering takeaway facilities remain open, all other on-site facilities are closed. This includes the Arts Centre, the Libraries, the Students Union, and the University Sports Centre. The Old College is also closed.
Can I still buy food and drink on campus?

Hot & cold drink & snack vending machines on campus are being checked and regularly topped up.
Many local businesses are now offering deliveries of hot food via Just Eat, Deliveroo, Facebook etc.
Will I be refunded for Arts Centre event tickets?
The Box Office team are contacting all ticket holders to arrange refunds and advise of rescheduled dates, but please be patient as there are many hundreds of people to contact. The website and social media will be updated regularly, so please keep checking for the latest information.
What is the latest on Libraries and Information Services?
The Hugh Owen Library and Physical Sciences Library are closed until further notice. Please see our webpage Library Services and COVID-19 for the latest information on our services. Our online services will be available as usual.
The 24/7 learning centres and computer rooms are now closed. Please note that online resources are still available as normal, and support from Information Services for your technical needs and resource enquiries is available remotely. Do you have any health and fitness advice while the Sports Centre is closed?
For guidance on daily health and fitness tips, workouts and regular updates follow the Sports Centre on Facebook or Instagram @sportaber.
Please note that no monthly payments via salaries or direct debits will be collected by the Sports Centre until it reopens, so there is no need to cancel your membership.
Can I request a refund for my Aber Card, Parking Permit and Sport Centre Membership?
Yes, a new portal that allows users to confirm refunds for Aber Card Credit, Parking Permits and Sport Centre Membership is now live.
Login to https://studentadmin.aber.ac.uk/ to confirm your details and request the refund.
Please note that this needs to be completed before 31st July.
Students can only ask for a refund of Aber Card credit if they are final year students.
Sport Centre Membership
A fixed sum of £35 is being refunded for sports centre membership to cover the period the sports centre has been closed.
Will I get my parking permit refunded?
The University is able to make partial refunds to those students who have purchased a Student Parking Permit during the 2019/20 Academic Year.
The refund values will be as follows:
- Students who have paid £41.60 (Motor Vehicles) will be refunded £10
- Students who have paid £21.20 (Motor Cycle) will be refunded £5
If you are eligible you will have already received an email detailing how to request your refund. It is important that you ensure your bank account details are correct on your student record.
