Location:

The University of Victoria in western Canada in the province of British Colombia. It is located in the state capital of Victoria which has over 340,000 residents. Known as the "City of Gardens", Victoria is an attractive city and a very popular place for boaters due to its beautiful and rugged shorelines and beaches. There's a great selection of things to do, from international film, music, art and cultural festivals to poetry readings and musical performances, there are countless opportunities to see talented artists.

Courses available:

Courses are offered in English. Students from any academic department are eligible to apply at the discretion of their Department's Exchange Co-Ordinator. Preference will be given to International Politics students who put Griffith University as their top choice of institution, but students from other departments are also encouraged to apply. Students are advised to discuss the suitability of GU for their degree with their Departmental Exchange Co-Ordinator. There are a number of courses available that are similar to those offered at Aberystwyth. Accommodation:

There are a range of accommodation options available.  Please note on-campus accommodation is not guaranteed for exchange students, but exchange student can apply for two types of on-campus accommodation: dormitory buildings and cluster units. If you have to live off campus remember living off campus has advantages too such as more personal space and the opportunity to explore everything Victoria has to offer.

Curriculum:

The first semester begins in September and ends in December and the second semester starts in January and ends in April International students are expected to arrive a few days in advance of term dates. 

Aberystwyth Students are expected to take 4 courses and are advised to take courses which can be identified by the first digit in the course code i.e. 300 or 400.  Student may be allowed to take 1 x 200 level course.  All courses must be confirmed by the Department of International Politics.
