Bowling Green is a town in Ohio with a population of around 32,000. The town has a strong history of ice sports and there is an ice arena on-campus where you can take up ice hockey, figure skating, curling or broomball. Despite its small size, Bowling Green still has plenty of restaurants and bars and the large student population keeps the nightlife lively. Every September the town plays host to the Black Swap Arts Festival, a three day event which sees hundreds of artists set up shop on Main Street.
If you do ever want to escape the BGSU bubble then the larger city of Toledo with a population of some 230,000 people is just 20 miles away.
