The National Student Survey (NSS) collects data from 155 of the UK’s Higher Education Institutions and is recognised as an influential source of information for prospective students when considering their options

Professor Richard Beardsworth who takes over as Head of the Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University in September 2016, said: “The Department of International Politics (‘Interpol’) is delighted with the recent NSS scores, with an overall student satisfaction of 95% (up eight points from 2015) and is truly indebted to student appreciation of the hard work of the department. ‘Interpol’ has always been proud to dovetail its commitment to teaching with its excellent research reputation (ranked 7th in the UK in Politics and International Studies).

“The student appreciation confirms the strong, creative ties among our teacher/scholars, our support staff, and the student community as a whole.  Indeed, ‘Interpol’ provides a truly excellent environment - through our curriculum, our intellectual community, and our extracurricular activities (Crisis Games, Parliamentary Placement Schemes, Societies, etc.) - in which to understand and begin practicing international politics. In preparation for our centenary in 2019, we welcome, with confidence and excitement, new students into our centenary graduation class!”
