Environmental Politics Group

Issues of environment and climate are at the forefront of the many global challenges facing political actors around the world today. These challenges are quintessentially local and global, simultaneously. Correspondingly, the Environmental Politics Research Group pursues a range of academically and publically-focused activities, which address the full breadth of these concerns. We organise interdisciplinary and inter-departmental collaboration within the University, arranging reading groups, guest lectures and research workshops. However, we also develop outreach activities, such as film screenings, site visits and academic lectures relevant to non-academics, in order to develop links with local communities in the Aberystwyth area.
