WordPress

WordPress is a piece of software that can be used to create a website and/or blog.

WordPress can be used for self-contained websites about projects or events, or for sharing news and updates. It is not the right place for departmental websites or webpages covering core University activities – these should be on the main Aberystwyth University website, edited via the CMS.

At Aberystwyth we have 2 WordPress networks available:

Blogging and Internal Projects Network

wordpress.aber.ac.uk

This network is for internal projects, and staff or student personal (work/study-related) blogging.

Research and External Collaboration Network

wp-research.aber.ac.uk 

This network is for research websites or other sites which require external users to be able to contribute toward the site.

On this network it is possible to create sites with their own domain or sub-domain, as well as their own branding and styles.
