Brief description

You only need to walk into a local park to find a memorial sculpture acknowledging the contribution of a significant person. Graveyards, public buildings and theatres all have public sculptures of figures. Our big cities have some sculpture on every corner. These images enhance our lives but are unnoticed by so many due to our busy lives - life rushes us by. This module appraises the development of figurative sculpture from ancient times to present day. You will research specific areas and create a case study and a mini-film which can be made on your mobile phone. The skills will allow you to appreciate sculpture within ‘the round’
