Come and join us at the start of the new term and spend the afternoon attending some of our free taster sessions across a wide range of subjects. You can try something new, meet and chat with some of our excellent tutors and choose the courses you want to enrol on over the next year.

4.40pm ‘No Votes for Women – No Census’: how the census was used to make a political statement
Come along and find out how the suffragettes used the 1911 Census to campaign for Votes for Women. There will be census forms available for you to examine. Magnifying glasses provided! Calista Williams (History)
Creatively Capturing Light: Have fun experimenting with watercolour, tissue & tinted charcoal for quickly & effectively capturing different light & atmospheric effects, ideal for working on location and further developing studies in the studio. The workshop includes a handout and basic materials, you may wish to bring your own watercolours, paint palette and brushes if you have them.  Tereska Shepherd (Art)
