Rationale:
This module will enable students to study the law of copyright in the EU. The module will increase the availability and opportunity for studying the subject for a range of potential students already in employment in relevant areas of business. It also covers an important area of Intellectual Property Law which has relevance beyond that specialist sector.
Brief Description:
This module looks at the different philosophies for protecting copyrights and the rights of copyright materials in sample EU member states; at successive EU directives on copyright law and the reasons for their enactment; and at the ways in which UK law has changed in response to those EU directives.
