Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

Students will have covered all chapters in Espanol sin fronteras (Nivel Medio).
Students should be able to communicate at an intermediate level in spoken and written Spanish (including competence in the use of past tenses and subjunctive mood)
Students will have acquired knowledge about language in general as well as a grasp of the most important Spanish linguistic structures;
Students will have become familiar with the cultural context in which those Spanish structures are used.

Brief description

This module offers students with GCSE in Spanish (or equivalent qualification) the opportunity to study this major international language at university level as an adjunct to their main studies, especially with vocational purposes and exchange programmes (such as Socrates) in mind.

On completion of this module students should have acquired a grasp of the more important linguistic structures in Spanish (including competence in the use of the past tenses and the subjunctive mood) and be able to communicate at an intermediate level in spoken and written Spanish. They will have covered the course book Espanol sin fronteras (nivel medio).
