2. Discuss the application of these technologies to biological problems faced by animal/equine scientists and zoologists

Brief description

The module will consider the different types of :omics technology and how advances in these areas are being applied primarily to livestock

2. Transcriptomics
3. Proteomics
4. Metabolomics
5. DNA Sequencing - including next generation sequencing
6. Population analysis via molecular ecology
7. Additional -omics technologies
