Join us for a timely, important and interesting discussion about the current state of Black History Month. Since its beginnings in the UK in the 1980s – but with a history that extends back to the 1920s in the USA – Black History Month has grown and changed. Does the event offer an opportunity for tokenistic actions by companies and institutions which otherwise continue to work against black people? Or does the focus within one month help create positive changes through the rest of the year?
