Architects have drafted detailed plans showing how Aberystwyth University intends to transform Pantycelyn into first-class accommodation for Welsh students.
The plans were submitted to Ceredigion County Council in July 2017 as part of the University’s planning application to redevelop the historic building.
The aim is to create 200 bedrooms with en-suite facilities as well as provide social spaces for use by both students and the local community.
The planning application for Listed Building Consent for the internal remodelling of Pantycelyn was approved in February 2018, followed by the Listed Building Consent application for the external restoration and remodelling of the building. The aim is to reopen the building in September 2020.
