Applicants for Research must supply two academic references with their application.
If you are applying for a research degree (MPhil/PhD) you should:
- check the research interests detailed on the relevant department's website to see if we can offer expert supervision in your chosen area of specialisation;
- prepare a research proposal (1000 - 1500 words) to outline the research project you would like to undertake (does not apply to applicants for the Department of Computer Science and the Institute of Mathematics and Physics other than when applying for the AberDoc). In all cases please contact the relevant academic department for further advice.
- submit a full application with all supporting documentation and your research proposal, including how you intend to fund your research degree.
In addition to the above, some Departments require that additional supplementary documents are provided, so it is important to check the specific course page for details.
