All webinars will be 30 minutes with a 10minute Q&A unless otherwise stated. Webinars will be running live on MS Teams. Mon 5th October, 11am, CV's part one - Structuring a CV
There are many different templates and guides out there advising you on the structure your CV should have, and it can be difficult to identify which works best for you. During this webinar, we will give you the lowdown on the structure of a CV, which sections and information you can include to showcase your skills and experience. Finally, this webinar will outline the main differences between casual, graduate and postgraduate CVs.

Wed 11th November, 11am, CVs part two - marketing your skills effectively
As your personal marketing document, a CV is an essential part of your search for placements, graduate jobs, PG study and more. Want to know more about the type of information you put in a CV and how to word it effectively? This webinar will take you through the key content you need to include on your CV and how to make yourself stand out from the crowd.
Mon 16th November, 2pm, Thinking about doing a Masters?
Is further study the right option for you and your future career? This session will explore finding the right course, the application process and funding options. There will also be an opportunity to ask and gain answers to your own further study questions.
Mon 23rd November, 11am, Masterclass in career planning
Gain a good understanding of your skills, interests and motivations to help you develop ideas and strategies to direct your job / further study search and find a career that is rewarding and purposeful to you.
Wed 25th November, 12pm, Boosting career resilience
Resilience is a quality welcomed by employers; it often forms part of the recruitment process. Today’s graduates need to demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude to overcome setback. If you are not sure where to begin, this session will outline some useful strategies.
Thurs 26th November, 2pm, Using LinkedIn to network and research jobs
This interactive session will demonstrate how to use LinkedIn to develop your professional network, connect with employers online and find job opportunities. NB: LinkedIn Part 1 – building your profile is available as a pre-recorded webinar (see below)
Mon 30th November, 2pm, PGT marketing your Masters
Some employers specifically seek out potential employees with postgraduate qualifications; others will see this as a ‘nice to have’. This webinar explores how you can market your studies on your CV and in applications to show the wide range of skills development gained through your studies that makes you the ideal candidate.
Thurs 3rd December, 12pm, Presenting your work experiences in a creative way
This session explores a range of ways to highlight your many “experiences” (from your work, study and other aspects of your life), to demonstrate to employers that you have the practical knowledge and skills they require.
Mon 7th December, 2pm, Tell me your story - how to develop your career narrative
The ability to tell great stories can be a powerful tool for career success. Storytelling in many contexts, such as networking, job applications and interviews, provides a means to engage and persuade. This session explores the power of stories in a careers context and guides you through the principles of developing your own good story for different purposes.
