Concerned About a Student
Mental Health Flowcharts
Our charts have been designed to help you know what the best support pathway would be. Seeking help and advice when there are concerns can help get the right support in place promptly.
Online raising concerns form
You can tell us if you have concerns about someone else. Complete the raising concerns form available in the How to Access Us section to give us details of the concerns and a practitioner will contact you to advise on how best to progress.
You can also raise concerns by:
- Email: studentwellbeing@aber.ac.uk
- Telephone: 01970 621761 or 01970 622087
There is also support available if the concerns are impacting on your wellbeing. Students can complete our online registration form to book an appointment with an advisor. Alternatively we can support you through Togetherall, our A-Z of wellbeing, or Care First.
Fitness to Attend
Sometimes a temporary or long-term medical condition can impact on a student’s ability to fully engage with their studies and there may be concerns about the impact this is having on others. The FTA guidelines and policy will help guide you on early steps that are required to support a student where there are concerns and then referral pathways if required
Our Practitioners welcome any discussion about fitness to attend concerns and are here to help you and the student with this process. We encourage swift responses to early concerns, to help resolve issues and get the most appropriate support in place wherever possible.
