The University of Georgia (UGA) is in southern USA in the state of Georgia. It is located in the city of Athens which has over 115,000 residents and it is 60 miles from the state capital of Atlanta which has a great reputation as a dynamic, international city. The main university campus covers a massive 762 acres and is full of beautiful historical architecture which you can explore when you’re not studying and Athens itself has a great nightlife with lots of restaurants and bars. Sports are a big part of life at UGA and their football team (the Georgia Bulldogs) have won the national championships 39 times.

Students will experience the humid, sub-tropic temperatures and they may even have to keep an eye on the tornado watch. As it is close to Athens students have the opportunity to explore a city that has a big music scene and a campus that has featured in American movies.
