Location and Getting There

Mahidol University is located in the capital city of Bangkok. Multiple campuses are spread throughout the city: one suburban campus (Salaya) and two campuses located in the city centre of Bangkok (Bangkok Noi and Phayathai), along with a downtown high-rise office site for College of Management (Vipadwadee), and provincial campuses in Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan and Amnaj Chareon provinces.

Bangkok is serviced by two airports: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Aiport (DMK) with the majority of UK flights arriving at Suvarnabhumi (especially those flying from London based airports).

Student Life

Mahidol University also offers a good chance for our students to socialise and find like-minded people. Various students and clubs in numerous athletic, cultural, religious and artistic areas are centred on the Student Union Complex at Salaya Campus.

A diverse range of social and cultural activities and events sponsored by the University or individual Faculties, Institutes and Colleges are organised throughout the academic year, ranging from seminars, exhibitions on various academic and cultural themes, to art exhibitions, to inter-Faculty and intramural sutdent sport competitions.

In particular, the College of Music at Salaya Campus holds regular concerts, including those by world-renowned musicians. Various Faculties, Institutes and Colleges also house student clubs catering to a diverse academic and cultural interests which also arrange activities year-round.

Many of the city's attractions including entertainment venues and popular shopping districts are easily and inexpensively accessible by public transportation from the three Bangkok-area campuses.

Affordable housing is widely available both off and on campus, including shared housing, private flats and boarding houses. Mahidol University has several dormitories for local and international staff and students. Additionally, affordable off campus housing is also widely available near all campuses.

How to Apply

All students wishing to go on an exchange to Mahidol University must apply through Aberystwyth University as they must be first be nominated by the international office.
